Christopher Manousos

Christopher Manousos is a Toronto based actor, director, playwright, producer. Christopher has extensively trained over the last decade in the Suzuki Method of Actor Training & The Viewpoints, both in Canada and New York with Anne Bogart and SITI Company. Christopher also has trained with Tadashi Suzuki and the Suzuki Company of Toga, Japan. They were one of the inaugural members of Factory Theatre's artist training & mentorship program, The Factory Mechanicals. They have trained with Common Boots theatre in their Devised lab and is a graduate of Windsor University’s acting program. Christopher is an alumni of Generator’s, Artist Producer Training program & their Company’s in Residence program. As an actor they have performed with the Stratford Festival; Persephone Theatre; various independent productions across Toronto as well as internationally. As a producer, they have worked with the SummerWorks & Progress Festivals, and was the associate producer on PARADIGMS Productions Four Sister’s at Luminato. Christopher is a director for the University of Windsor’s acting program having directed deconstructions of Medea; Antigone; The Bacchae.
They run the independent performance company, House + Body, through which they focus on deconstructions of classic works, new play development and artist training and mentorship. For House + Body Christopher directed, MARRY ME MARRY ME MARRY ME MARRY ME; a workshop of their production, KING LEAR @ the baseball diamond, with Shakespeare in the Ruff; a yearlong playwright’s program, Playwrights Initiative; and more.
In 2020: House + Body has a residency with LemonTree Creations for their new production, EMPTY/immediacy. House + Body will also be producing Daniel Carter’s lonelyboy99. For more info on the company, check out www.houseandbody.org
